Job Description :

Leads & delivers the analytical work efforts for a dedicated business area or function and may utilize various resources across Analytical Teams; usually within a specific line of business or business discipline (card, call center, digital, etc.). Leverages multiple databases to acquire customer and performance data and demonstrates deep subject matter expertise in area of focus. Delivers individually or with the help of peers and others insightful data to be used in driving complex business decisions or processes. Identifies opportunities for collaboration across the Analytics organization to effectively deliver against priorities.

Communicates with Senior managers and Analytics executives to understand business problems to be analyzed and deliver the appropriate summary and data required. Communicates with Business Leaders to identify, analyze, and propose solutions to a variety of business problems using data driven insights. May be required to interact more independently and own a project or business area end-end. Ability to use data tools and techniques to find and deliver data from various sources of record. Proven communications skills in describing complex data to inform strategic insights and decisions.

The job is responsible for leading and delivering analytical work efforts within the Custom Analytics organization and the advancement of Bank of America's digital strategy across Business and Global Banking by creating insights and drawing conclusions leveraging digital data. They use analytics to monitor the digital landscape and understand client digital behaviors. It is a fast-paced environment given constant competitive pressure and evolving customer expectations.

Key responsibilities include understanding how clients are adopting & using our Digital capabilities, how they engage with us on our digital platforms, how they choose what interactions to do with a bank associate and what they can so self-service and generally, what we need to do to meet ever-changing digital needs. The work includes leading the analyses of digital features, tailored client insights, driving the digitization of service, etc.

Job expectations include proficient use of data, tools & techniques to extract information and transform the data into meaningful and actionable insights. The Sr. Analyst is expected to work with LOB partners to understand the business question, develop an approach to solving the business question, gather and analyze the data, and provide a recommendation based on the findings.

  • Acquire, manage, and transform data into meaningful information that supports BAC's Global Banking Digital strategy and tactical business decisions.
  • Work with complex and nuanced data sets to uncover subtle insights, resolve inconsistencies, and support high-stakes decision-making.
  • Research and evaluate data sourcing, conducts quality checks and comparisons of both data and analysis output, and escalates data inconsistences and gaps to technology and leadership.
  • Understand how businesses are using Online and Mobile (e.g. what features/insights should we add next) and interpreting for leadership.
  • Conduct deep dives into customer behavior to identify digital engagement successes and opportunities.
  • Execute observational studies to identify key drivers of client Digital channel engagement, and more targeted ways to introduce new Digital capabilities.
  • Independently gather relevant data and business knowledge, via discussions with subject matter experts, analytics peers, or internal/external research.
  • Participate in regular business routines and drive dialogue to determine where analytics and testing can inform business decision making.
  • Collaborate with multiple functional groups including Analytics, Reporting, Marketing, Technology, Finance, and the Digital Line of Business.
  • Analyze client traffic & sales opportunities across the various Digital, self-service, and human assisted channels.
  • Guide analytics & insights to identify transaction migration opportunities through the adoption of Digital and alternative self-service channels.
  • Help build business cases to fund projects and technical advancement of digital capabilities.
  • Identify best demonstrated analytical techniques and help disseminate their use among the broader analytics team.
  • Manage multiple tasks, delivering high quality analyses, completing project documentation, and presenting results to multiple teams and business partners.

Required Qualifications :

  • Ability to use data tools and techniques to find and deliver data from various sources of record
  • Proven communications skills in describing complex data to inform strategic insights and decisions
  • Prior experience within a Global Banking role.
  • Knowledge of Global Payment Solutions.
  • Working knowledge of advanced analytic techniques to uncover meaningful patterns and insights for clients.
  • Fluency in Python and SQL and knowledge of relational and non-relational database systems such as Teradata, Oracle, Hadoop, SAS-Grid, and Starburst.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with stakeholders of varying analytic skills and knowledge levels.
  • Proven effectiveness in collaborating across departments to achieve shared goals.
  • Extensive experience using business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Microstrategy, ThoughtSpot) to develop insightful dashboards and data workflow tools (e.g., Alteryx) to integrate disparate data sources.

Minimum Education Requirement : Minimum of bachelor's degree with strong quantitative background in Marketing, Statistics, Mathematics, or Economicsor equivalent work experience.

Discretionary incentive eligible This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
