As a member of Advertising Trust's Policy & Integrity team, you'll work across Amazon business lines to shape customer experience through policy work. Our team combines extensive online advertising experience and policy acumen with expertise in customer experience solutions, risk mitigation, and brand integrity. We seek innovative, customer-obsessed deep thinkers.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Develop and manage policies, including risk rationale, policy text, and data monitoring.
  2. Present policy risks to internal stakeholders through high-quality written communications to build understanding and consensus.
  3. Create business requirement documents for product teams to solve for policy risks.
  4. Foster collaborative relationships across Ad Trust Policy teams, Sales, Legal, PR, Public Policy, and other business units.
  5. Support high-risk and high-impact escalations with moderation and tiered support teams.
  6. Develop a comprehensive understanding of ad tech systems, particularly Amazon's infrastructure, to inform policy work.

A day in the life

Policy Managers monitor policy effectiveness using various signals and handle escalated policy compliance questions. They develop expertise in locale-specific requirements and consider cultural norms in decision-making. The role involves building policy recommendations based on multi-vector risk assessment, collaborating with product teams on risk solutions, and partnering with internal and external stakeholders. They coordinate between Amazon teams to ensure consistency for advertisers and shoppers.

About the team

The Ad Policy team manages global advertising policies across all Ad products and Amazon Publishers. We influence Amazon Advertising through multiple business touchpoints, focusing on customer-centric ad delivery.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  1. 4+ years' experience in ad tech, product policy, advertising policy, content policy, or related policy-focused roles.
  2. Experience collaborating with PR, Legal, and Public Policy teams.
  3. Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional, matrixed organizations.
  4. Experience in analyzing and presenting results to senior management.
  5. Superior verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build trust at all levels.
  6. Demonstrated data-driven decision-making capability.
  7. General knowledge of current events impacting policy positions.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Master's degree, law degree, or MBA.
  2. Experience managing large-scale policy changes.
  3. Strong background in metrics and data analysis.
  4. Experience in digital advertising policy, compliance, or legal work.
