Position Summary

We are looking for a Senior GNC Simulation and Algorithms Engineer to lead the design and development of high-fidelity simulation environments and advanced control algorithms for spacecraft. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) principles. You'll work closely with multidisciplinary teams to model and optimize real-world spacecraft behavior and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain full 6-DOF attitude and orbit simulations, including modeling of spacecraft dynamics, sensors, actuators, and environmental effects
• Design and implement advanced control algorithms such as PID, LQR, and optimal controllers
• Develop and validate state estimators including Kalman filters
• Conduct Monte Carlo simulations to evaluate robustness and system performance
• Perform system identification and model validation using flight or test data
• Implement algorithms in MATLAB and C++, with a focus on performance and accuracy
• Collaborate in a Git-based Linux development environment with other engineering teams
  
  

• Master's or Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering, Control Systems, Applied Physics, or a related field
• Strong background in orbital mechanics, rigid body dynamics, and estimation theory
• Experience developing GNC algorithms for LEO, GEO, or interplanetary missions
• Proficiency with Monte Carlo analysis, system identification, and HIL testing
• Skilled in MATLAB and C++ for algorithm development and simulation
• Comfortable working in a version-controlled (Git), Linux-based environment
• U.S. citizenship or U.S. lawful permanent residency (Green Card) required due to export control regulations
