About the Role

The Company is seeking a VP of Technical Operations to spearhead the leadership, scaling, and maturation of its enterprise technology operations. This pivotal role encompasses the architecture, design, standardization, availability, and operational support of both cloud and physical infrastructure, as well as the internal corporate technology stack. The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic planning, and will lead various teams including Cloud Infrastructure, System Operations, Database Operations, Network Operations, Security Operations, and the Network Operations Center. A key aspect of the role is to ensure high availability, security, and scalability of all infrastructure components, and to drive value engineering, preventative maintenance, and continuous improvement across the platform stack.

Candidates for the VP of Technical Operations position at the company should have a minimum of 15 years' experience in technical infrastructure, platform engineering, or IT operations, with at least 7 years in a leadership capacity. The role requires a deep understanding of AWS, virtualization, networking, storage, database operations, and enterprise monitoring, particularly in a regulated environment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing 24x7 infrastructure and end-user environments, and a strong command of IT service delivery and end-user technologies. Strategic leadership, the ability to influence and build consensus, and a focus on operational excellence are essential.
