Essential Job Functions:
Provide clear direction to Front Office staff, assign work, and instruct agents in work details while enhancing team morale.
Observe and train Front Office staff performance, encouraging improvement to ensure productivity, efficiency, and high standards of service.
Resolve customer issues and complications, determining effective solutions.
Welcome and register guests into the hotel, ensuring requests are fulfilled and all special instructions are followed.
Adhere to established security and credit policies and protocols, guiding Front Office staff on correct procedures.
Select and block rooms for arriving guests, pre-register individuals or groups, assist in escorting VIPs, and return guests to their rooms as requested.
Check guests out of the hotel, handle cash transactions, cash checks, and post charges to guest accounts.
Promote Courtyard marketing programs.
Maintain a balanced bank assigned from the hotel, handling cash and credit transactions accurately.
Quote and maintain familiarity with room and rate availability, accept reservations, changes, and cancellations as needed.
Coordinate with all departments to handle guest requests and manage inventory efficiently.
Handle hotel emergency procedures professionally and maturely.
Perform tasks and projects delegated by Front Office Management and Hotel Management teams.
Other duties as assigned.
May be required to work in other hotel areas to support operations.
Maintain a safe work environment for colleagues and a safe hotel environment for guests.
Qualifications & Job Requirements
High school diploma and up to three months of related experience and/or training, or equivalent education and experience.
Previous front office or hotel experience.
Supervisory experience preferred.
