Fred Finch Mental Health Counselor position provides behavioral work for TBS (Therapeutic Behavioral Services). The staff works intensively with a participant in their home or in the community. The needs of each participant guide the length and intensity of the program services they receive. The TBS coach designs, structures, models, and supports one-to-one interventions to modify target behaviors of concern or teach appropriate alternative behaviors, so that children and their family members or caregivers can live independently.
To sustain participants' improvements after TBS concludes, staff develops transition plans to help each child and their caregivers.

What You Will Do
The Mental Health Counselor is responsible for providing high quality, trauma-informed therapeutic services, and care coordination to a diverse population of at-risk youth or young adults experiencing mental health symptoms, and their families. These developmentally appropriate, individualized services occur under the supervision of a licensed clinician in residential and community locations including homes, schools, program offices, psychiatric emergency settings, clinics, crisis residential programs, and/or shelters.
Work Schedule
Full Time Exempt - Monday - Friday
Salary RangeIn accordance with California law, the expected salary range for this position is between $25.30 and $32.29 per hour, payable bi-weekly. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law. This position is eligible for $2500 sign on incentive.
