At Astro Mechanica, we're building the world's first turboelectric adaptive jet engine to reinvent supersonic flight - and we're looking for a Propulsion Design Engineer to lead the design and development of structural hardware from concept to flight.
In this role, you'll own mechanical system design, from CAD and material selection to FEA analysis and hands-on prototyping. Your work will directly impact the manufacturability, reliability, and performance of next-gen propulsion systems.

What You'll Do:

• Design and analyze structural hardware using CAD (Siemens NX) and FEA
• Optimize mechanical performance considering material, thermal, and load constraints
• Develop joining methods (welding, brazing, fasteners) and tooling for fabrication
• Support prototype assembly, testing, and debugging
• Lead design reviews and contribute to a test-like-you-fly culture

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical/structural design, ideally in aerospace or propulsion
• Proficiency in CAD, GD&T, and FEA tools with solid understanding of load cases
• Expertise in material properties, treatments, and joining techniques
• Strong hands-on prototyping and debugging skills
• High attention to detail and drive for continuous improvement
