Sandis is currently looking for a Design Engineer to join our team in Oakland, CA. Our ideal candidate has experience with civil design, permitting, and applicable software applications including stormwater drainage programs and AutoCAD. - Assist with developing improvement plans including rough/finish grading, stormwater management, and utility plans.
- Design of utility systems including water, sanitary, and storm drain.
- Assist with fire flow tests.
- Interact with other members of a design team including Architects, Landscape Architects, and MEP Engineers.
- Engineering support during construction, including review of material submittals, answering Requests for Information (RFIs), site observations among other things.
- Conduct engineering assessments.
- Prepare technical engineering reports.
- Coordinate with private, public, and governmental agencies.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- 1+ years of relevant experience
- EIT Certification Preferred
- Familiar with AutoCAD
- Familiarity and understanding of rough and finish grading plans.
- Knowledge of utility systems including sanitary sewer, storm drainage, and water distribution.
