In 2015, we pioneered a "moneyball for biotech" approach, pooling projects and promising early-stage research from academia together under one financial umbrella to reduce risk and unleash innovation. This model allows science and small teams of experts to lead the way. We build bridges to groundbreaking advancements in rare disease, and develop life-changing medicines for patients with unmet needs as fast as humanly possible.

Together we define white space, push boundaries and empower people to solve problems. If you're someone who defies convention, join us and work alongside some of the most respected minds in the industry. Together, we'll ask "why not?" and help reengineer the future of biopharma.

What You'll Do

BridgeBio is seeking a strategically-minded and analytically gifted Vice President of Patient Identification & Analytics to lead the design and execution of patient-finding strategies across multiple rare disease programs. The primary focus of this role will be to find patients. In addition, this executive will manage a small, high-performing team responsible for uncovering undiagnosed patients, enabling HCP engagement, and driving diagnostic acceleration using best-in-class data science and insights.

The VP will serve as a cross-functional linchpin between commercial, medical, and analytics teams, ensuring every insight translates into actionable strategies that drive patient identification and engagement. This is a rare opportunity to shape and scale a foundational capability across a portfolio of rare disease programs with a direct impact on the lives of underserved patients.

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead a small internal team and external vendors focused on patient identification and provider targeting across multiple rare diseases
  • Set the vision, priorities, and performance metrics for a cross-program patient identification function
  • Foster a collaborative and mission-aligned team culture centered on urgency, precision, and patient impact

Advanced Analytics & Targeting

  • Guide the development of predictive models, algorithms, and segmentation tools using real-world data (claims, EMR, lab/genomics) across a variety of rare disease states, on the forefront of rapidly developing patient finding approaches such as using artificial intelligence and machine learning
  • Oversee provider and institution targeting strategies that support field team execution and engagement planning for each program
  • Translate insights into strategic recommendations tailored to each rare disease program

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with program leads, Commercial, Medical Affairs, and Computational Genomics, to align patient identification strategies across therapeutic areas
  • Serve as analytics lead for cross-program sponsored testing initiatives, RWD-based alerts, and external partnerships
  • Partner with external groups (e.g., data providers, diagnostics labs, academic hospitals) to expand analytic capabilities and infrastructure
  • Engage with KOLs to identify subtle early clinical signals (e.g., symptom constellations, comorbidities, unusual lab values) that could power patient identification algorithms

Operational Execution & Performance Measurement

  • Establish program-level KPIs and reporting frameworks to assess patient-finding effectiveness and HCP engagement outcomes
  • Monitor model performance and support continuous improvement based on evolving datasets and real-world feedback
  • Ensure governance and compliance with HIPAA, privacy, and promotional regulations across all analytic efforts

Where You'll Work

This position will be expected to be on-site in both our San Francisco and Palo Alto home offices on a weekly basis.

Required

Who You Are

  • 12+ years of experience in biotech/pharma analytics, with 3+ years leading a team
  • Expertise in rare disease analytics, patient identification, and segmentation using RWD sources across multiple indications

  • Fluency in tools and platforms such as SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Symphony, Komodo, Flatiron, or equivalent
  • Demonstrated ability to lead strategic analytics across diverse stakeholder groups and therapeutic areas
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or life sciences field

Preferred

  • Advanced degree (PhD, MS, MPH) preferred
  • Experience in using patient finding to enhance launching or scaling commercial-stage programs in rare or underdiagnosed conditions
