Overview:


This role provides subject matter expertise to support a regional Technical Services & Solutions (TSS) program, ensuring alignment with engineering, facilities, and operational priorities. The focus is on technical advisory, process optimization, and strategic program development rather than day-to-day operations.


The SME will act as a trusted advisor, supporting innovation, best practices, and technical program alignment. The role will drive improvements in technical service delivery through data analysis, technology enablement, and cross-functional collaboration.


Key Responsibilities:


Technical Expertise & Advisory


Serve as an SME in technical services, offering guidance on building systems, asset management, and risk mitigation.

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure strategies align with long-term facility objectives.

Research and recommend emerging technologies to enhance maintenance and reliability.

Program Support & Standardization


Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and technical playbooks for program initiatives.

Promote consistency in service delivery by integrating best practices and lessons learned.

Support capital planning, asset lifecycle strategies, and risk management frameworks.

Performance Optimization & Data-Driven Decision Making


Analyze work orders, system reliability, and maintenance KPIs to drive continuous improvement.

Recommend predictive and smart maintenance strategies to enhance building performance.

Evaluate vendor performance to ensure alignment with program goals.

Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration


Partner with technical services teams to align operations, engineering, and workplace services.

Provide guidance on compliance, safety, and engineering standards in collaboration with EHS teams.

Act as a liaison between regional initiatives and broader technical service teams.

Field Delivery Team Alignment


The SME will bridge the gap between strategic initiatives and field execution, ensuring effective implementation across operational sites.


1. Technical Guidance & Standardization


Act as a point of escalation for complex technical issues.

Ensure SOPs and technical standards are communicated and implemented in the field.

Facilitate training and documentation on maintenance strategies and best practices.

2. Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement


Collaborate with facility managers and engineers to review performance data and identify improvements.

Analyze trends and metrics to provide actionable insights.

Participate in audits, technical reviews, and lessons learned sessions.

3. Strategic Initiative Collaboration


Partner with field teams to pilot new technologies and automation solutions.

Support implementation of predictive maintenance, energy efficiency, and capital planning efforts.

Ensure field teams have the tools and support needed for effective execution.

4. Cross-Functional Coordination & Communication


Act as a liaison between strategic programs and field teams, incorporating frontline feedback.

Facilitate regular meetings and working groups to maintain alignment.

Collaborate with workplace services, engineering, and compliance teams to support broader strategy.

5. Risk Management & Compliance Support


Ensure adherence to safety regulations and asset management protocols.

Provide risk assessments and technical recommendations for field activities.

Support proactive solutions for aging infrastructure and capital project coordination.

Qualifications & Skills:


Essential


BS or MS in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related technical field

10+ years of experience in technical services, preferably in a high-tech or complex facilities environment

Strong knowledge of building infrastructure, smart maintenance, and asset management

PE Certification

Experience with capital planning, risk assessment, and reliability engineering

Strong analytical and communication skills

Desirable


LEAN Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt)

Certified Reliability Leader (CRL) or equivalent

Familiarity with large-scale facilities ecosystems and operational standards

Experience with BIM, BOS, and IoT-driven maintenance solutions


Compensation: $225,000/yr
