Meeting Street is currently looking for an Assistant Head of School for 40 per week.
Duties
- Assist in leading the operations of The Grace School and The Carter School (jointly referred to as the "School").
- Participate in the development of curriculum and educational goals and objectives for the School.
- Provide supervision and evaluation of school staff, including hiring, terminating, managing performance, motivating, training, developing and assigning responsibilities.
- Oversee school personnel to maintain integrity and accuracy of student records, including maintenance and tracking of attendance, grades, special education requirements, etc.
- Develop and implement after school enrichment programs.
- Assist in the management of our free and reduced lunch program.
- Act as the point of contact for the after-school care provider and provide appropriate support as needed.
- Support and assist with the professional development program for all school personnel that align with agency objectives.
- In conjunction with the staff and other school administration, design and implement The Grace School's inclusive education model for grades K-8.
- Coordinate and oversee The Carter School's vocational and life skills program based on best practices.

Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in education and/or working towards a master's degree in school administration preferred.
- Valid certification from RIDE as general education and special education teacher
- Valid certification from RIDE as a School Administrator or working towards.
- A minimum of 5-8 years of teaching experience at the elementary or middle school level.
- Maintain status in continuing professional education.
