  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in management consulting, product strategy, data analytics, public policy, law, or related fields.
  • Experience working with and analyzing data, and managing multiple projects.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in SQL, building dashboards, data collection/transformation, visualization/dashboards, or in a scripting/programming language (e.g. Python).
  • Experience with domestic or global legislative processes.
  • Ability to provide data-driven recommendations to leadership, based on insights, analysis, technical acumen, and judgment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Product and Business Strategy Leaders bring together teams across Google's functions to help products execute optimally. Our team pushes Google to scale at key points that refine our products and infrastructure by executing efficiently, bringing solid business sense and sound judgment, and working effectively across organizational lines.

Our roles often include components of strategy (e.g. analyzing and understanding new trends in the industry, building business plans), operations (e.g. running the cadence of organizations, connecting the operating lines between our functions), and communications. Our team partners with senior leadership to run important functions that cross-cut our existing organizations and deliver high impact projects. We help Engineers, PMs, UX, and all of our other functions to build amazing products that delight our users, and then get those products into their hands.

In this role, you will be at the forefront of shaping how Google's Knowledge and Information (KandI) products navigate a rapidly evolving regulatory landscape. You will partner with stakeholders across engineering, product management, and legal to anticipate, analyze, and strategically respond to emerging regulations, directly influencing the design and development of products used by billions.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will be to build tooling and processes for tracking and analyzing regulations in order to determine key priorities and trends. You will also work collaboratively with internal teams to develop principles for effectively prioritizing key regulations; create systems that enable teams to efficiently identify regulatory trends; present these findings to leadership and product teams.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $144,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of a regulatory tracking system to proactively monitor and analyze global regulatory changes impacting KandI products. Design and develop a dashboard view of regulations.
  • Establish foundational principles and frameworks for prioritizing regulatory responses, ensure alignment with Google's mission and user trust.
  • Architect scalable systems to identify and predict regulatory trends, provide critical foresight to product and engineering teams.
  • Translate complex regulatory insights into actionable recommendations for product and leadership teams, drive informed decision-making.
  • Present strategic findings to executive leadership and product teams, influencing roadmaps and ensuring proactive compliance.
