Summary

Duties
Specialty Units are available depending on the selection process and training. These include Motorcycle, Aviation, S.W.A.T., K-9, Marine Patrol, Major Crimes, Crime Scene, Narcotics, Traffic Safety, Horse Mounted, Intelligence, Dignitary Protection, and Multi-Agency Units.

Applicants must meet experience or education requirements, including:
Volunteer experience is also credited. Additional assessments include written exams, physical readiness tests, background checks, interviews, medical reviews, and drug screening.
Physical Demands & Working Conditions
The role requires passing physical exams, maintaining agility, endurance, and strength, and working in potentially dangerous situations alone or with risk of injury. The job does not support telework.
