The Senior Director, New Product Planning, is a key commercial leader responsible for leading the commercial strategy for Dompe's portfolio of assets and future NGF indications. This role involves partnering with global marketing, patient services, access, clinical, regulatory, medical affairs, and development teams to define key product attributes for success. The individual will also collaborate with the discovery team to evaluate new target opportunities and with the business development team to assess licensing opportunities, both in- and out-licensing, to enhance Dompe's portfolio. Essential skills include strong experience in commercial strategy, market analytics, forecasting, and competitive intelligence. The role reports to the Chief Commercial Officer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with commercialization and cross-functional teams to conduct commercial assessments for future indications, BD initiatives, and pipeline assets, and develop insights as therapies progress.
  • Assess commercial opportunities for new indications, analyzing treatment paradigms, competitive landscape, unmet needs, and product positioning.
  • Serve as the commercial champion on program teams to ensure customer needs influence product profiles and lifecycle plans.
  • Support US and ex-US commercialization strategies, providing insights and forecasts to global partners.
  • Develop commercial strategies for portfolio programs, including TPP development, market assessment, and scenario analysis.
  • Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions.
  • Engage with KOLs and clinicians to gather insights, validate assumptions, and identify advisors or investigators.
  • Support advisory boards and market research initiatives.
  • Develop business cases and NPV valuations for BD and pipeline assets.
  • Collaborate on indication development, leveraging literature, epidemiology, and patient perspectives.
  • Participate in program core teams to provide commercial insights and serve as a reference for clinical and regulatory functions.
  • Create NPP roadmaps outlining lifecycle activities and capabilities needed.
  • Support portfolio decision-making with business cases, market models, and scenario analyses.
  • Evaluate programs for prioritization, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Assist in target selection and validation, staying updated on potential therapeutic targets.
  • Manage forecasting, tracking, and budgeting, supporting departmental planning.
  • Partner with marketing on go-to-market strategies for assets nearing launch.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, life sciences, or related field.
  • 12+ years in patient engagement and advocacy within the bio/pharma industry.
  • Knowledge of drug development, cross-functional collaboration, and clinical trial design.
  • Expertise in data analysis, market research, and vendor management.
  • Experience with market assessments and forecast models.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Strategic mindset with execution capability.
  • Experience managing budgets and vendor contracts.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.
  • Strong business acumen and patient-centric focus.
  • Ability to travel approximately 20%.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree or higher preferred.
  • Ophthalmology experience and biotech pre-commercial assets experience preferred.
  • Salary range: $260,000 - $285,000 annually.
