Position Overview

LHH is partnering with a local firm to hire for a Resident Services Manager to lead on-site efforts to support residents in maintaining stable housing and improving quality of life. This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating supportive services tailored to meet the diverse needs of residents, many of whom may have experienced homelessness, mental health conditions, or other barriers to housing stability. The manager cultivates a housing community grounded in respect, trust, and empowerment by ensuring coordinated services and resident engagement.


Primary Responsibilities

Service Planning & Coordination

  • Develop and manage service delivery strategies that promote housing retention, wellness, and personal development.
  • Maintain a supportive presence on-site and establish rapport with residents to assess strengths, needs, and goals.
  • Coordinate with clinical and non-clinical partners to ensure residents have access to health care, employment support, recovery services, and other relevant resources.

Resident Engagement & Support

  • Conduct outreach and check-ins with residents to monitor well-being and offer support.
  • Plan and facilitate educational workshops, community meals, skill-building sessions, and peer support groups.
  • Promote a welcoming and inclusive community atmosphere through activities that foster mutual respect and belonging.

Leadership & Staff Oversight

  • Supervise and coach resident services team members, interns, and volunteers, providing day-to-day guidance and professional development opportunities.
  • Support team members in responding to complex resident needs and navigating service systems.
  • Ensure team practices align with trauma-informed, person-centered principles.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Build effective working relationships with property management to align on goals related to safety, housing stability, and lease compliance.
  • Maintain clear communication with external service providers to facilitate referrals and track service continuity.
  • Represent the resident services team in internal meetings and cross-agency collaborations.

Crisis Prevention & Response

  • Intervene appropriately during behavioral or emotional health crises, utilizing de-escalation techniques and coordinating emergency responses when necessary.
  • Participate in development of safety protocols and risk assessment processes in partnership with property management and external providers.

Data & Outcomes Tracking

  • Document service interactions, referrals, and resident progress in accordance with privacy standards and organizational guidelines.
  • Collect and analyze data to monitor service outcomes and prepare summary reports for internal stakeholders or funders.
  • Identify gaps in services and propose adjustments to improve impact and reach.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Public Health, or a closely related field required; Master's degree strongly preferred.
  • At least 3–5 years of experience working with vulnerable populations, preferably in supportive housing or community-based settings.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of supervisory experience, with the ability to guide staff in complex service environments.
  • Demonstrated understanding of housing-first principles, harm reduction, and trauma-informed practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, cultural humility, and a strong commitment to equity and inclusion.
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic setting while maintaining strong attention to detail.
  • Comfortable with technology, including case management software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Additional language skills (e.g., Spanish) a plus.
