Amazon Web Services is seeking top industry technical expert to grow our team dedicated to expanding our Controlled Working Environment (CWE) team to build, operate and maintain a Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) approved infrastructure. We are seeking a Systems Development Manager to lead the team that builds and supports this enterprise environment where you will be managing a wide breadth of applications such as virtual desktops, Microsoft active directory, third party applications, and networking, etc. You will help design architectural approaches, automate, enhance, and build new functionality for a complete separated end user workspaces environment. Key job responsibilities

  1. Lead and manage a team that builds and maintains CMMC compliant infrastructure.
  2. Establish relationships with internal and external partners and peer stakeholders to understand and meet their needs while operating existing systems at a high level of Operational Excellence.
  3. Own and track team engineering delivery, goals, metrics, and stakeholder management.
  4. Develop and maintain a culture of innovation and operational excellence in the teams.
  5. Work closely with business and tech leadership to define product and tech roadmap.
  6. Hiring, developing, and retaining a world class engineering team that meets Amazon's high bar.
  7. Create and implement automated processes that reduce manual efforts and increase overall efficiency and scalability.
  8. Engage with and influence the key stakeholders and internal teams to ensure compliance, security and operational functional requirements are met or exceeded.

A successful candidate will be an experienced leader with an established background in developing and operating platforms and services, developing and hiring top talent, technical ability, great communication skills, and a motivation to achieve results in a dynamic fast paced environment.

About the team

AWS Global Sales (AGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. You will lead a team of engineers working with teams across the company to build, operate and maintain a Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) approved infrastructure. You will have the ability to deliver features and functionality to our customers and a have a direct impact on our bottom line. You will be part of a growing, fast paced, and fun team and have ownership for the implementation of your work.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or related field.
  2. 10+ years of experience managing team of software and system engineers across full product life cycles.
  3. 5+ years of experience managing distributed teams.
  4. Experience in Systems and Network Administration, System Reliability Engineering, or Application Security.
  5. Excellence in technical communications with both technical and non-technical peers.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Master's degree or higher in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  2. AWS Certified Solutions Architect (associate) or AWS Certified Developer (associate) or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator (associate).
  3. Understanding and experience implementing/overseeing Government compliance requirements/programs such as NIST 800-171 and CMMC.
  4. 5+ years of experience with web protocols and Linux/Unix tools and architecture.
  5. Experience with open-source technologies.
  6. Experience with maintaining distributed systems and web services.
  7. Understanding of design for scalability, performance and reliability.
  8. System engineering experience in the cloud.
