Position Summary

The leadership roles encompass various responsibilities, including project management, site supervision, and project controls throughout all phases—design, procurement, construction, and closeout—and overseeing day-to-day operations at specific project sites. You will serve as the primary contact for all engineering and operational matters on-site, ensuring projects comply with specifications, safety standards, and budgets. This role also involves team management, client management, business development, governance, and risk management, including recruiting, training, mentoring staff, representing the organization to clients, leading business development activities, and supporting corporate initiatives. Effective communication, coordination, documentation, teamwork, and knowledge management are essential.

On the technical side, responsibilities include project lifecycle oversight, project controls, cost management, schedule control, change management, performance monitoring, reporting, risk management, claim support, and dispute resolution, requiring expertise in data collection, contract review, negotiation, and claims avoidance.

Responsibilities

  1. Leadership Roles
    • Team Management: Recruit, hire, assign work, and provide training, coaching, and mentoring to staff.
    • Client Management: Act as PMA's representative; manage client relationships and project performance.
    • Business Development: Support and lead activities in identifying opportunities and developing proposals.
    • Business Governance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with policies and manage risks.
    • Corporate/BU Initiatives: Support organizational initiatives.
    • Communication and Coordination: Collaborate with teams and stakeholders, develop meeting minutes and action items.
    • Document Controls: Manage project documentation and decisions.
    • Administrative Tasks: Prepare invoices, estimates, and schedule meetings.
    • Teamwork: Collaborate to ensure timely project completion.
    • Knowledge Management: Support internal knowledge sharing.
    • Attendance: Maintain reliable attendance.
  2. Technical Roles
    • Project Oversight: Oversee all project phases and coordinate with team members and stakeholders.
    • Project Budget & Cost: Develop and monitor budgets, costs, and funding sources.
    • Project Schedule & Change Control: Manage schedules and control project changes.
    • Performance Monitoring: Measure and report on project performance.
    • Risk & Claim Support: Identify risks and support dispute resolution efforts.
    • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in wastewater, sewer, pipeline, tunneling, or related projects.
  • CA PE License or CCM certification required.

Compensation & Requirements

Salary range: $250,000 - $275,000 annually, based on experience and location.
