Base pay range

$150,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yr

The Dominican Sisters of San Rafael, a congregation of Catholic sisters, are devoted to faithfully carrying out the vision of St. Dominic, preaching the Gospel with their lives, with depth and compassion on the critical issues of our times. Since 1850, the Sisters have played a vital role in the history and development of California and Nevada, establishing schools, hospitals, and convents. Role Description

Our team is seeking a dynamic, experienced and values-driven individual to take on the role of Chief Financial and Operating Officer. This will be a full time, onsite position. The Officer will serve as a strategic thought partner and will be responsible for managing the Finance Office, as well as overseeing day-to-day Operational aspects. This person will be joining us at a time when our community is undergoing rapid change and they will be a key implementer for the vision we are casting.

Key Responsibilities

1. Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency and alignment with our mission and values.
2. Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting, ensuring the organization's financial health.
3. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and uphold financial integrity.
4. Optimize internal processes and manage resources effectively to support our programs.
5. Collaborate with the Prioress General and Leadership.
6. Provide council in setting and driving organizational vision, operations strategy and hiring levels, shaping long-term planning.
7. Translate strategy into actionable goals.
8. Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and faith-based service within the organization.
9. IT liaison with outside vendor.
10. Collaborate with the Director of Congregational Properties.

You are/have:

1. Self-starter with a great work ethic and analytical thinker with superior problem solving and decision-making skills.
2. Possess the initiative to create presentations and analysis to answer questions posed and look into the details to interpret the impact of key decisions.
3. Stellar time and project management skills; understand the importance of planning in advance to meet deadlines that include multiple review points.
4. A team builder; you roll up your sleeves and work alongside, not just delegate.
5. Strong communicator both verbally and written; reliable and responsive to email and phone communications.
6. High level of integrity and good judgement with the ability to efficiently deal with highly sensitive, confidential information.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or related disciple; or 10+ years of demonstrated progressive senior leadership, preferably within a non-profit or faith based organization.
2. 3+ years of experience in executive level finance or operating oversight position.
3. Strong understanding of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
4. Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage operations with a focus on efficiency, integrity and impact.
5. Commitment to our organization's mission and values.
6. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and mentor not just delegate.
7. Compliance with regulatory requirements to uphold financial integrity.
8. Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
9. Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
10. Experience with AccuFund a plus.
11. CPA or MBA in Finance is a plus.
