Job Title: Research Assistant III
Location: Burlingame, CA
Duration: 12 months contract
Pay Range: $70.00-$75.00/ hour on W2 without benefits
Job Description: This position will assist principal investigators to collect data and evaluate performance for Computer Vision/Machine Learning tasks. You will work with cutting-edge Mixed Reality devices to evaluate the user experience.
Responsibilities include:
Assisting Principal investigators to
• Collect data to evaluate Computer Vision tasks, at home or onsite in a data collection lab
• Coordinate data collection that may involve other employees, facilitate participants scheduling and execute data collection protocols.
• Set up experiments to evaluate the impact of various components on machine learning algorithm performance, and compile analysis reports to quantify their effects.
• Moderate user experience demos
Minimum Requirements/Skills:
• Write and Run Python scripts to conduct data analysis; familiar with the following Python Analystics libraries: Pandas, Numpy and Plotly
• 3 + year of experience in either Software or Data Analytics related fields, with experience of using Linux/Android command console, using Python for data analysis.
• Basic understanding of Computer Vision/Machine learning is preferred but not required
• Effectively communicate relevant information in both verbal and written context
• Drive progress towards results through coordinating with multiple stakeholders
• Attend to details, and reason about priorities when guidance is ambiguous or incomplete
Must-Have Skills:
• 3+ year experience in Data Collection and being able to analyze and write that data, and using Linux/Android command console
• 3+ years of running Python scripts to conduct data analysis, organizing, analyzing, and presenting. be familiar with these Python analytics libraries: Pandas, Numpy, Plotly
• Experience with these Python analytics libraries: Pandas, Numpy, Plotly
