About The Position

As a Software Engineer at Parafin, you will play a pivotal role in building, scaling, and maintaining our financial infrastructure. You will work across various engineering teams to design and develop robust, secure, and high-performing systems that power our embedded financial products. You will address critical technical challenges, mentor engineers, and influence our technology strategy.

We are hiring across multiple teams, and candidates will be considered for the best fit based on their experience and interests.

Teams Hiring

• Lending Products: Develop our core lending platform and user flows, improve infrastructure, and collaborate on new products.
• Merchant Platform: Design scalable systems for merchant-facing products, enhance user experience, and build integrations.
• Partner Platform: Build APIs for embedding products, work with partners to improve integration, and develop operational tools.
• Merchant Decisioning: Work on our Python-based underwriting and decisioning platform, define architecture, and integrate ML infrastructure.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems.
• Lead technical projects from conception to deployment.
• Collaborate with Product, Data Science, and Operations teams.
• Optimize system performance, security, and reliability.
• Mentor fellow engineers and promote technical excellence.

What We Look For

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, preferably in fintech.
• Proficiency in backend languages such as Python or Go.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP) and scalable system design.
• Understanding of distributed systems, databases, and APIs.
• Degree in Computer Science or related field.

What We Offer

• Salary: $175k - $220k
