  • Assist with infant care, including feeding, changing, bathing, and developmental play
  • Prepare healthy, age-appropriate meals and snacks
  • Observe and respond to the children's needs with sensitivity and adaptability
  • Facilitate daily rhythms that support exploration, movement, and natural discovery
  • Document observations of the children's interests, patterns, and development
  • Safely transport children to and from school, activities, and appointments
  • Support integration of insights from Montessori and other educational approaches

Program Integration & Coordination

  • Research and coordinate enrichment opportunities, educators, and community programs
  • Build relationships with teachers, guides, and aligned families
  • Support communication across caregivers, teachers, and the family team
  • Ensure consistency and coherence across different developmental environments
  • Facilitate nature-based programming and opportunities for service and contribution
  • Track engagement across developmental domains and suggest thoughtful adjustments

Environment Creation

  • Design home-based environments that foster wonder, creativity, and connection
  • Incorporate regular opportunities for outdoor exploration and nature connection
  • Integrate movement and practical life skills into daily activities
  • Balance structured learning with unstructured play and quiet reflection
  • Support family values of community, curiosity, and sustainable living

Qualifications:

  • 3 or more years of professional childcare experience, including infant care
  • CPR and First Aid certification
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record
  • Strong references demonstrating reliability, warmth, and professional expertise
  • Demonstrated emotional intelligence and ability to attune to children's needs
  • Personal practice in mindfulness, contemplative traditions, or personal development

Preferred Experience & Qualities:

  • Background in education, child development, or integrative learning models
  • Experience supporting children of different ages simultaneously
  • Nature-based education or deep connection to the natural world

  • Musical skills or fluency in additional languages, especially French
  • Understanding of multiple educational approaches such as Montessori, Waldorf, or Reggio
  • Experience coordinating educational or service-based programs
  • Knowledge of ecological systems, sustainability practices, and local cultural resources

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time, on-site role with flexibility based on family needs
  • Physical activity and engagement with young children required
  • Occasional travel may be requested
  • Regular collaboration with parents, who work remotely
  • Ongoing access to resources and support for professional and personal growth
