UCSF Office of Medical Education is seeking a senior project manager with expertise in strategic planning, project management, policy development, and business process analysis. Responsibilities include leading and supervising project teams, setting deadlines, creating action plans, and developing systems for feedback and communication with stakeholders across multiple departments and functional areas.
The senior project manager will collaborate with the San Joaquin Valley Program In Medical Education Plus (SJV PRIME+) program leads and teams at UCSF, UCSF Fresno, and UC Merced. The role involves translating program goals into actionable steps, addressing complex policy issues, and managing projects that impact the organization and expand medical education in the San Joaquin Valley. The position requires operating in a highly visible, politically sensitive, and evolving environment.
The incumbent will handle significant strategic issues requiring political sensitivity and in-depth analysis. They will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills to build relationships with stakeholders and leaders at all levels, provide leadership, guidance, and policy development, and represent the organization externally.
The ideal candidate has at least ten (10) years of operational experience demonstrating expert judgment working with senior leaders and stakeholders. The position reports to the SJV PRIME+ Program Director and partners with organizational and program leads.
The salary range is $136,000 - $204,000 annually, with final offers subject to UC policy and candidate experience.
