Role Description

Arcadis seeks a Structures Inspector to join our team in Selma, CA. The role involves performing construction inspections in the field to ensure materials and workmanship conform to plans and specifications. The inspector must be able to work onsite in Selma, CA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and change notices impacting the work in the field, ensuring construction staff uses the latest documents.
  • Conduct visual inspections, prepare quality punch lists, and participate in work planning.
  • Coordinate testing data with third-party labs and maintain detailed records of testing and inspections.
  • Prepare daily inspection reports and participate in resolving project deficiencies.
  • Maintain project logs, including quality testing and deficiency reports, and analyze trends for early deficiency detection.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in transportation construction inspection.
  • Experience with Caltrans or California transportation projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • OSHA 10 or 30 safety training.

Skills and Attributes

  • Effective communication, problem-solving, and adaptability skills.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate a vehicle.
  • Knowledge of construction materials, drawings, specifications, and inspection procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering software.
