Job Summary
Under supervision, the Junior Chemical Management Specialist will work as part of a team to maintain chemical management across UCSF campuses. Responsibilities include receiving chemicals, adding them to inventories, barcoding containers, entering information into the system, delivering chemicals, providing technical support, and conducting inventory reconciliation.
The role requires attention to detail, adherence to SOPs, and strong customer service skills. Knowledge of chemical hazards and safety protocols is preferred.
The salary range is $72,000 - $80,000 annually, subject to experience and internal equity.
Department
The Research Resource Program (RRP) supports UCSF core facilities and research resources. ChemCentral manages chemical supply chain efficiency, safety, and compliance through stockroom and central receiving facilities.
