The Esoterix division at LabCorp is seeking a Technician to join their team in Calabasas, CA! Esoterix provides esoteric testing for hospitals and physician specialists, primarily specializing in endocrinology and GI testing. Esoterix goal is to provide premier laboratory services that positively impact patient care and cost-effective medical treatment . The Lab Technician will assist in specimen testing under direct and constant supervision according to established procedures, working under the oversight of a Clinical Laboratory Scientist.**Pay Range: $23.00 - $30.00 per hourPlus 2nd Shift DifferentialAll job offers will bebased on a candidate's skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.Work Schedule: Wednesday - Saturday 5:00pm - 3:30amBenefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchas e Plan . For more detailed information, please click here .Job ResponsibilitiesParticipate in specimen testing according to established procedures working under the technical oversight of a Clinical Lab ScientistRecord dates of receipt, in use, and expiration for all reagents, kits, controls, and standards used for assigned assays. Ensure material used is not expired prior to usePerform pipetting using pre-set devices, calibrated and approved automatic devices or fixed volume dispensersPerform preventative maintenance on equipment, document PM appropriately, and immediately contact appropriate personnel for problems requiring complex instrument repairsAdhere to the standard operating procedures and safety requirements of Esoterix, CLIA, CAP and other regulatory bodiesDocument all activities as necessary including preventative maintenance logs, instrument function checks, troubleshooting, and quality control to ensure regulatory complianceDevelop an ever-increasing understanding of laboratory medicine and the clinical significance of laboratory resultsRequirements:Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology or a non-traditional Bachelor's degree that meets local regulatory (CLIA & State) requirementsNo previous experience requiredAbility to work in a fast paced environmentAbility to work independently and within a team environmentProficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systems are a plusHigh level of attention detail along with strong communication and organizational skillsMust be able to pass a standardized color vision screenFlexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needsIf you're looking for a career that offers opportunities for growth, continual development, professional challenge and the chance to make a real difference, apply today!Labcorp is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer:Labcorp strives for inclusion and belonging in the workforce and does not tolerate harassment or discrimination of any kind.
