Patient Support AssistantHospitality ServicesPart Time81289BRJob SummaryUnder the immediate supervision of the Sr. Custodian Supervisor, the incumbent performs the following duties:DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS90%: GENERAL CLEANING TASKS:Following Infection Control Policies, the employee maintains a clean, sanitary, safe, and esthetically pleasing environment for patients, staff, and visitorsCleans occupied patient rooms, and rooms between patients (discharges) following department proceduresCleans other assigned areas within the Patient Care UnitsDisposes of waste (trash, biohazardous waste, recycling) and soiled linen following departmental proceduresUses approved cleaning chemicals to maintain the cleanliness of assigned areasUse proper body mechanics and body alignment when moving furniture and equipment when performing your dutiesComplete the training for Medications and Auxiliary Staff Competency10%: OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Performs other related duties as instructed by immediate supervisor. Inspect your work, report missing furniture, and repairs needed; report fire or safety hazards. Respond to emergencies following established procedures.The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.Your placement within the salary range is dependent on several factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF.
