Executive Recruiter: Accounting and Finance

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with an Airlines and Aviation company to hire a Senior Accountant in San Francisco, CA.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the monthly and quarterly financial close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and consolidations.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with IFRS or US GAAP.
• Ensure compliance with lease accounting standards (e.g., IFRS 16, ASC 842).
• Assist in the analysis of complex lease and asset sale agreements and coordinate with internal teams to properly account for transactions.
• Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors, preparing required documentation and responding to queries.
• Assist in developing and improving internal financial controls and accounting procedures.
• Prepare financial reports for senior management, lenders, and investors.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis initiatives.
• Contribute to system and process improvement projects

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in accounting, preferably within aircraft leasing, aviation finance, or asset leasing.
• Strong understanding of IFRS and/or US GAAP, particularly lease accounting standards.
• Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and a proactive, collaborative approach.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field

Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems (e.g., Workday, Oracle, SAP, etc.) is a plus.

This posting is a representative sample of roles we typically place with our clients. Depending on the specific client, location, and role, the salary range is estimated to be $110,000-$140,000 and benefits may include Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance and 401k with Matching.
