About the Job

Our Support team is the backbone of Meraki, providing quality support to over 1 million active networks worldwide to ensure our clients' network infrastructures run seamlessly and effectively. We are looking for smart, passionate recent graduates to join our Support organization.

As a Network Support Engineer, you will immediately apply your coursework, work with a variety of industries, and gain exposure to diverse teams. Meraki offers many opportunities for career growth in a fun, challenging, and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  1. Diagnose and troubleshoot wireless, security, switching, phone, and other network-related issues reported by Cisco Meraki customers and partners.
  2. Own each networking issue from initial creation to resolution.
  3. Collaborate with Support team members to fix network outages, misconfigurations, and complex issues.
  4. Read and analyze packet captures using Wireshark.
  5. Work with Engineering and Management to diagnose and resolve critical escalated issues.
  6. Contribute to Knowledge Base articles by suggesting, editing, and writing detailed content.
  7. Stay updated on Meraki features and technology through training sessions, communication with Engineering and Product teams, and following industry trends.

Qualifications

  1. Thorough understanding of fundamental networking protocols such as TCP, STP, ARP, Ethernet, OSPF, etc.
  2. Basic knowledge and hands-on experience with network technologies including firewalls, content filters, routing/switching, VLANs, and wireless standards (802.11a/b/g/n/ac).
  3. Previous internship, work, or volunteer experience in a network lab environment is helpful.
  4. Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  5. Eagerness to learn and a team-oriented mindset.
  6. Passion for networking, IT, and helping others.
  7. Currently pursuing or holding a B.S. in Computer Networking, Information Technology, or a related field.
