We are seeking a professional responsible for the issuance and content of deliverables, overseeing technical content in HOK documents, coordinating disciplines including consultants, and supervising staff producing documents. The role involves implementing Construction Phase Services in collaboration with the Project Manager and Project Architect, securing QA reviews, and contributing to a culture of technical excellence.

Responsibilities

Leadership

  • Ensure the design intent of the project is incorporated into detailed documentation.
  • Monitor the design process from conceptual to construction administration, ensuring consistency and proper execution.
  • Handle technical resolutions and coordination for project portions.
  • Conduct product research and assist in writing specifications.
  • Review reports, plans, estimates, and calculations for accuracy.
  • Define strategies for document production, data organization, and BIM integration.
  • Manage project software parameters and standards.
  • Maintain collaborative relationships with the Project Leadership Team.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines, vendors, and contractors.
  • Ensure documentation quality conforms to QA/QC standards.
  • Supervise technical drawing preparation by junior staff.
  • Lead project teams on specific projects.
  • Mentor and develop less experienced staff.
  • Promote sustainable work practices.

Client Interface

  • Build trust with client leadership.
  • Communicate regularly with client representatives regarding project progress and requirements.
  • Maintain commitment to excellent client service.

Teamwork

  • Receive project and technical direction from designated leaders.
  • Coordinate documentation with team, clients, and consultants.
  • Assist in planning and modifications of working drawings.
  • Coordinate with municipal and regulatory agencies.
  • Communicate with vendors and consultants regarding project changes.
  • Attend site visits, reviews, and meetings.
  • Support material research and specification processes.
  • Contribute to project cost and schedule reviews.

Business Development

  • Participate in meetings targeting new project opportunities.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture or interior design required.
  • 10+ years of experience preferred.
  • LEED credential required within 12 months of employment.
