Position Overview

Alvarez & Marsal, a leading independent global professional services firm specializing in turnaround management, performance improvement, and corporate advisory services, is seeking to expand its Private Equity Performance Improvement (PEPI) – Real Estate team. With over 4,500 professionals across 40 locations worldwide, our firm excels in problem solving and value creation, working closely with organizations and stakeholders to tackle complex business issues and maximize value.

About the PEPI Practice

Our PEPI practice focuses on serving upper middle market and large cap private equity firms, assisting in improving operating results at their portfolio companies, typically valued between $50 million and over $1 billion. Our services include due diligence, merger integration, carve-outs, transition planning, and operational improvements across various functional areas.

Role Responsibilities

  • Lead large, complex client engagements delivering innovative business and real estate solutions for private equity clients and their portfolio companies.
  • Manage pre-acquisition real estate diligence, merger-integration, carve-outs, and day-1 planning and execution.
  • Implement high-quality deliverables while maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring project success.

Qualifications

  • 5-8 years of experience in consulting or real estate, with at least five years in operational due diligence, merger integration, or business transformation.
  • Experience working with private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, or related transactions.
  • Knowledge of multiple real estate asset classes.
  • Background in audit, internal audit, or accounting preferred.
  • Deep expertise in areas such as business transformation, property and asset management, real estate finance, or valuation.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with business leaders and develop junior staff.
  • Bachelor's degree required; willingness to travel at least 75% of the time.

Additional Information
