About Our Firm

Klopf Architecture is a client-focused 20-person design firm. We have created an open, inclusive and diverse team hailing from across the U.S. and various countries around the world. About You

We seek a Lead Interior Designer who is interested in working cross-functionally in both interior design and architecture (but mostly interior design) who has the ability to perform at a level typically associated with 7+ years of interior design office experience. A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Interior Design and previous US office work experience are required.

We're looking for the following:

  • Design excellence in the modernist idiom.
  • Lead design development, drawings and documentations of projects and manage the interior design scope, schedule and budget during construction. This includes strong coordination and communication skills with experience managing clients, contractor and fabricator relations.
  • Time management; ensure timely delivery of project deliverables.
  • Experience selecting and specifying furnishings, lighting, hardware, window coverings, materials and finishes.
  • Proven ability to manage 8+ interior design projects simultaneously, demonstrating strong organizational skills while overseeing each phase—from client consultation and conceptual development to sourcing, coordination with contractors, and final installation.
  • Ability to effectively work cross-functionally with the in-house architectural team.
  • Desire to scale and expand the interior design capabilities and has a strong interest in mentoring and develop the existing interior design team of two.
  • Extensive leadership and management experience in the interior design industry, including managing design teams to ensure project milestones are met, and maintaining high standards of creativity, functionality, and client satisfaction.
  • Experience creating construction drawings, specifications, and schedules.
  • ArchiCAD knowledge is desired but not required, but previous 3D CAD modeling (BIM) experience in some software is required.
  • Applicant must have CA experience (submittal, RFI, IDSK review/response and consultant coordination).
  • Applicant must be willing to travel to job sites.

You will participate in our team-oriented design and production process under the supervision of various senior staff members including primarily under our Lead Interior Designer, in our holistic interior/architectural designs.

Salary Range

Commensurate with experience, ranging from $115,000 to $130,000 per year.
