Overview


This role is responsible for the research, evaluation, and administration of compensation and benefits programs to align with organizational goals. The position involves conducting audits, analyzing data, and generating reports related to total rewards. The individual in this role will offer recommendations for improving processes and efficiencies. This professional operates independently on complex assignments, applies sound judgment, and evaluates options to determine the most effective solutions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead or assist with special projects related to compensation, benefits, and overall employee rewards initiatives.
  • Participate in internal groups and committees, providing relevant data analysis and insights.
  • Perform audits across compensation and benefits programs, investigate issues, and propose solutions based on research and findings.
  • Manage workflows such as sending out retirement eligibility updates and ensuring ongoing compliance with reporting timelines.
  • Handle accurate and timely processing of benefits-related invoicing each month.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with various departments to support business goals and resolve issues.
  • Deliver presentations on compensation and benefits topics to stakeholders, including management and labor groups.
  • Produce regular and ad hoc reporting related to compensation, benefits, and retirement plans.
  • Reconcile retirement payment transactions and investigate discrepancies to ensure timely and accurate financial processing.
  • Respond to questions from internal teams and external partners related to benefits, compensation, and related programs.


Qualifications


Education:

A bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, finance, accounting, or a similar field is required.


Experience:

Minimum of seven years in a total rewards-focused position, with proven ability to work independently and manage complex tasks.

Preferred Experience:

Background in healthcare or unionized work environments is desirable. Experience with retirement plans, health and wellness benefits, or compensation structures is a plus.

Certifications (Preferred):

Designations such as CEBS (Certified Employee Benefit Specialist), CCP (Certified Compensation Professional), or similar credentials are advantageous.
