Requirements

• Expert-level experience and knowledge developing predictive models using Python.

• PhD or Masters in a related field.

• Finance-related domain experience is not needed but interest in trading and finance is helpful or experience working with unique data sets related to finance (healthcare, energy, etc…).

• They are looking for candidates coming from either the Finance or Technology industry.

• Strong technical skills with the ability to pass multiple technical interview rounds.

Compensation

• $600,000 - $1,000,000 Total Compensation depending on level of experience.

What's the Job?

As a Principal Data Scientist on their new and growing Data Science team, you will be developing models using unique alternative data sets to support the quantitative trading and research efforts of different teams within the company. You will be building models end-to-end using your advanced technical and programming skills.

Your work will be used to create trading strategies and insights to power their quantitative research and trading. They are looking for someone with excellent communication skills since you will be working closely with various stakeholders including Quantitative Researchers and Quantitative Developers to understand their needs and translate them into working models and products to power their initiatives.

Location

This role requires you to work out of their New York City or Miami office five days a week. They do cover relocation expenses if you are looking to relocate.
