Software Engineer (Product)

We're a profitable, fast-scaling biotech company building the fastest DNA sequencing platform in the world. Our tools are used daily by scientists, bioengineers, and researchers working on everything from vaccine design to synthetic biology to climate-resilient agriculture.

In just three years, we've gone from $0 to $48M in revenue — without raising a dollar of venture funding. Now, we're scaling our engineering team to build the frontend layer that turns raw sequencing data into intuitive, interactive, and insightful scientific tools.

You'll be joining a small, high-performing team and taking full ownership over the frontend product experience. This isn't a plug-and-play UI role — it's a chance to architect and build visual systems that accelerate real-world scientific breakthroughs.

What You'll Do:

• Own product experiences from idea → MVP → production
• Build rich, interactive data visualizations using D3.js, WebGL, and React
• Design interfaces that enable scientists to identify mutations, explore genomes, and interpret massive sequencing datasets
• Work closely with scientists and engineers to shape the product roadmap
• Help define frontend best practices, architecture, and tooling across the team
• Contribute to core technical and product decisions as a foundational engineer

What We're Looking For:

• 3+ years of experience building frontend products in fast-paced environments
• Deep proficiency with modern JS frameworks (React preferred) and component architecture
• Experience with data visualization libraries like D3.js, WebGL, or similar
• Strong product intuition — you think in terms of UX, not just code
• Experience collaborating closely with backend teams and/or scientific stakeholders
• A builder's mindset — you've shipped full products, end-to-end
