Sr Program Manager, Pricing & Promotions, Japan Consumer Innovation

The Amazon Japan Consumer Innovation team is seeking a customer-centric, strategic Senior Program Manager with a proven track record of working cross-functionally to drive innovation and program excellence in pricing and promotions on behalf of our customers. In this role, you will be part of a fun and entrepreneurial team and will lead defining the strategy, collaborating with local and global partner teams to manage key performance metrics of the business. To be successful, the Program Manager needs to demonstrate a unique combination of strategic, analytical, and operational acumen. This position requires a highly analytical individual with strong cross-functional leadership and excellent project management skills.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Develop strategic frameworks to improve Amazon's pricing & promotions strategy with a strong customer focus.
  2. Coordinate across teams to drive changes and deliver high-quality programs.
  3. Plan and conduct regular voice of customer and market research.
  4. Manage key performance metrics for the programs and work across teams to continuously improve these metrics.
  5. Develop scalable mechanisms to enable expansion of business solutions leveraging teams across Amazon.
  6. Continuously innovate on behalf of our customers.

Minimum qualifications

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience.
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
  • Experience owning program strategy, end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.
  • Experience conducting detailed qualitative and quantitative customer studies.

Preferred qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience owning program strategy, end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.
  • Master's degree or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design, or a related field.
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL and ability to build data models.
  • Fluency in Japanese.
