Your Next Opportunity:
The Chief Estimator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising the division's estimating program, providing technical and administrative direction to ensure corporate objectives are met.
What You'll Do:
- Manage and administer department functions including operating budgets, staffing, wage reviews, work assignments, performance evaluations, bid results, and archives.
- Implement and maintain corporate estimating procedures utilizing the corporate computer estimating system and database.
- Assist executives, business development, and project management to determine project bidding strategies and techniques.
- Review all final estimate packages for accuracy and completeness prior to formal quotation.
- Review scope/proposal letters for bid and negotiated projects.
- Participate in presentations to corporate management and clients. May be responsible for closing sales.
- Provide technical assistance in negotiating contracts, change orders, etc., as required.
- Assist in preparing studies, materials, methods, recommendations, and cost estimates as needed.

What You'll Need to Be Successful:
- Advanced management or technical training.
- Strong organizational, supervisory, and decision-making/problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in computer use and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
- Familiarity with modern computer estimating systems.
- Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Ability to work under time pressure and meet deadlines with a positive attitude.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and in teams.
- Ability to interact professionally with all levels of employees, vendors, clients, and others.

What You Bring to Us:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in facility construction estimating and related functions, with thorough knowledge of corporate estimating objectives, strategies, techniques, and construction contracts.
- Combination of education and technical/field training, such as engineering or estimating experience, is acceptable.
Travel:
- Up to 10%, or as required.
Working Conditions:
- Primarily indoor work with varying environmental conditions, including fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.
- Noise levels are usually low to medium; may be loud on job sites.
- Compliance with ADA and applicable laws, including reasonable accommodations for disabled applicants and employees.
- Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.

Pay Range
$164,300.00 - $215,600.00 annually
This pay range reflects expectations for candidates meeting the qualifications; actual pay may vary based on location, experience, skills, and education.
