Description:

The Role

Our customers trust Entangl with mission-critical infrastructure. Protecting their systems, data, and operations from sophisticated cyber threats is paramount. As a Security Engineer at Entangl, you'll play a critical role in ensuring that our platform and infrastructure remain resilient, secure-by-design, and ahead of emerging threats. You'll collaborate closely with our development teams, infrastructure engineers, and product leaders to secure every aspect of our product and operational environments.

Core Responsibilities

  • Product Security Reviews: Perform in-depth security assessments of Entangl's software platforms, conducting whitebox, greybox, and blackbox analyses. Collaborate with engineering teams to remediate vulnerabilities and continuously harden our products.
  • Infrastructure Security: Design, build, and maintain security measures across our multi-cloud and hybrid environments. Develop and implement automated systems to continuously detect, respond, and mitigate threats.
  • Threat Modeling and Architecture: Guide engineering teams in secure design practices, identifying potential threats and vulnerabilities through proactive threat modeling and architectural review.
  • Incident Detection and Response: Build, manage, and improve incident detection tools and processes. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to investigate security incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and establish countermeasures to prevent recurrence.
  • Strategic Security Initiatives: Lead significant security projects across the organization, such as security automation, advanced logging and monitoring infrastructure, secure software supply chain implementation, and improvements to identity and access management.

What We Value

  • Strong analytical skills, problem-solving capabilities, and a proactive security mindset.
  • Effective communication skills, enabling seamless collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Curiosity, creativity, and a continuous learning mindset—passionate about staying ahead in security technologies and practices.
  • Demonstrable experience in applying security principles in fast-paced development and operational environments.

What We Require

  • 3+ years of direct experience in cybersecurity, infrastructure security, or application security roles.
  • Proficiency in at least one modern programming or scripting language (Python, Go, Java, JavaScript, etc.).
  • Experience conducting security assessments using static and dynamic analysis tools (e.g., CodeQL, OWASP ZAP, Suite).
  • Hands-on experience securing cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and familiarity with container technologies (Kubernetes, Docker).
  • Practical experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible, Packer, etc.).
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
