Description

The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Center for Quantum Computing in Pasadena, CA, is looking to hire a Quantum Research Scientist. You will join a multi-disciplinary team of theoretical and experimental physicists, materials scientists, and hardware and software engineers working at the forefront of quantum computing. You should have a deep and broad knowledge of experimental measurement techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Build experiments encompassing design, fabrication, cryogenics, signal chain, and control stack software.
  • Provide recommendations based on your tests to improve next-generation quantum processors.

Qualifications

Basic

  • PhD, or Masters degree with 4+ years of research experience.
  • Experience analyzing experimental and observational data sets.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as R, MATLAB, Python.

Preferred

  • Experience with agile development and experimental design.
  • Proven track record of published results in superconducting circuits or condensed matter physics.
