This person will be responsible for analyzing customer data to uncover insights and support program development within the technology sector. The client is seeking a business data scientist to deepen their understanding of business questions and enhance their data strategies.

Responsibilities

• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business strategy.
• Develop and implement predictive models and statistical analyses to support decision-making.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover stories within data and communicate findings effectively.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define data requirements and deliver analytical solutions.
• Visualize data and present findings clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Identify data patterns, issues, and augmentation techniques to assist ML engineers in building AI / ML models.
• Participate in designing and developing data pipelines using Spark and other big data tools.
• Monitor and maintain the performance of deployed models and analytics solutions.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in data science and big data technologies.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in data science or related roles.
• Proficiency in Python, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scala.
• Experience with big data technologies like Hadoop and Spark.
• Strong understanding of statistical models and machine learning techniques.
• Excellent exploratory data analysis (EDA) skills and storytelling through data.
• Effective communication skills for conveying complex insights.
• Preferred experience in retail, supply chain, ecommerce, healthcare, or marketing sectors; PowerBI experience is a plus.
