Job Summary

The Venue Director II is responsible for successfully managing their assigned venue. They will be responsible for maintaining profitability and achieving sales and operations goals while providing best-in-class customer service to all stakeholders, including hotel partners, clients, and team members. In addition, they will create a culture of achievement, support diversity, pursue continuous improvement, and demonstrate an unwavering commitment to cultivating and growing the venue relationship.

Essential Functions

  1. Provide leadership in executing all phases of events while maintaining the highest commitment to customer service.
  2. Lead the Operations team to ensure efficient floor operations, including equipment setup and strike.
  3. Hire, interview, train, coach, mentor, and evaluate team members.
  4. Address complaints and resolve problems.
  5. Review P&L statements to ensure profitability; manage expenses and implement cost control measures.
  6. Maintain inventory integrity and security.
  7. Stay informed about industry trends, tools, and innovations.
  8. Develop and maintain strong relationships with venue partners.
  9. Represent Pinnacle Live at hotel meetings and customer site visits.
  10. Ensure timely payment of payables and processing of billing and invoices, ensuring compliance with SOPs.
  11. Support the Sales Manager to maximize revenue during all sales cycle phases.
  12. Train and develop team members to uphold service standards and foster a culture of achievement.
  13. Utilize and improve applicable company computer systems.
  14. Provide technical support for events as needed.
  15. Delegate tasks effectively.
  16. Comply with safety protocols and SOPs.
  17. Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Five (5) years of management experience in the AV and/or hospitality industry preferred
  • Experience in team alignment and goal achievement
  • Excellent communication skills for building relationships
