Description:

Taylor Hopkinson is in search of a Head of Investor Relations with a fast-growing energy tech company transforming how homeowners manage energy. The Head of Investor Relations will lead all aspects of the company's investor communications and capital markets strategy. This role involves shaping a strong investment narrative, maintaining relationships with current and potential investors, supporting fundraising efforts, and driving strategic positioning in the energy and cleantech sectors. This leader will play a key role as the company scales and explores future capital markets opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive investor relations (IR) strategy aligned with company goals.
  • Serve as the primary contact for current and prospective investors, analysts, and financial media.
  • Craft investor messaging that accurately reflects the company's financial health, strategy, and market potential
  • Collaborate with the CFO and executive team on capital-raising strategies (venture, growth equity, or strategic investors).
  • Manage investor due diligence and develop materials including pitch decks, Q&A documents, and earnings presentations.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor performance, and analyst reports to provide strategic insights to leadership.
  • Provide feedback to the executive team and board on investor perceptions and market sentiment.
  • Prepare regular investor updates, including quarterly reports, investment memos, and financial disclosures.
  • Ensure consistent, transparent, and compliant communications aligned with SEC regulations (if applicable) and industry best practices.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in investor relations, investment banking, equity research, or corporate finance in cleantech, energy storage, or hardware-based technology sectors.
  • Proven track record managing investor relationships and capital markets communications in a high-growth or pre-IPO company.
  • Strong financial modeling skills and understanding of key performance metrics used by investors.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Strategic thinker with high attention to detail and a hands-on approach.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field (MBA or CFA preferred).
