The Commerce, Growth & Identity (CGI) team focuses on creating seamless user experiences, offering diverse subscription plans, and building innovative capabilities to drive growth across Disney's streaming platforms.

We seek a talented Senior Software Engineer to join our Payment team, managing payment transactions across Disney+, ESPN+, Hulu, and Star.

Responsibilities:

• Manage critical payment systems, ensuring high availability, scalability, and resilience.
• Influence technical direction and architecture of Tier 1 services.
• Explore international payment landscapes and global payment strategies.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience designing and implementing large-scale distributed systems.
• Familiarity with AWS services or other cloud platforms.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Proven ownership of features and end-to-end project delivery.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse teams.
• Ability to understand system architecture comprehensively.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Scala and functional programming.
• Experience working with distributed teams.

Salary range varies by location, from approximately $138,900 to $203,900 per year, plus bonuses and benefits.
