Director / Senior Director, Project Management

Position Summary:

TCG Labs-Soleil is looking for a Director / Senior Director in Project Management who will report to the SVP of Strategy. This individual will serve as the operational backbone of multiple development programs, ensuring timely execution, alignment across teams, and delivery of program goals from preclinical through clinical development. The ideal candidate is a proactive and adaptable operator with a proven track record in large molecule drug development, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Whether this individual is hired by the Director or Senior Director level depends on the extent to which qualifications are met.

Responsibilities for Director, Project Management

• Drive the overall planning, execution, and delivery of assigned drug development programs from candidate nomination through early clinical trials.
• Support the Project Team Leader (PTL) on cross-functional Project Development Teams (PDTs), including Clinical, Regulatory, Toxicology, Pharmacology, Assay Development, CMC, Research and Strategy, ensuring clear roles, responsibilities, and accountability.
• Provide operational and planning support to sub teams led by various functions (e.g., Clinical sub team, Reg sub team, Translational sub team)
• Develop and maintain integrated project plans, timelines, milestones and risk assessments
• Is responsible for PDT meeting agenda and notes
• Support decision-making by ensuring team members are informed, risks are managed, and dependencies are clearly understood.
• Manage external collaborators, consultants, and vendors as needed to support program execution.
• Is onsite ≥3 days per week, particularly during PDT meetings
• Is expected to project manage 2-3 oncology PDTs

Additional Responsibilities for Sr. Director, Project Management

• Providing small team of PDT PMs, providing technical mentorship and further development
• Will project manage 2-3 PDTs across oncology and non-oncology areas

Qualifications for Director, Project Management:

• At least BS in life sciences and PMP qualification
• 8+ years of experience in biotech/pharmaceutical program management. Backgrounds in both Big Pharma and small biotech preferred
• Experience in project management of early -stage (candidate nomination through end of Phase 2) oncology biologics
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, clinical trial design, and CMC development.
• Track record of collaboratively ensuring cross-functional productivity in a PDT setting and of supporting PTLsUnderstanding of risk management and experience establishing mitigation strategies.
• Expertise in the use of modern project management tools (Gantt charts, risk logs) and technologies (Smartsheet's, Excel, PowerPoint, ThinkCell).
• Ability to operate with a sense of urgency and flexibility in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and is comfortable with ambiguity and strategic changes
  Additional Qualifications for Sr. Director, Project Management:
• 12+ years of experience in biotech/pharmaceutical program management, having worked in both Big Pharma and small biotech
• Successful track record of growing, coaching and managing team of PMs for at least 3 years
• Experience in both oncology and non-oncology biologics required. Small molecule experience in addition to biologics is a plus

The anticipated salary range for fully qualified candidates applying for the Director role is $161,000 - $287,500 annually and for the Sr. Director role is $192,500 - $343,750 annually (both roles are not including discretionary bonus, equity, and benefits). The final salary offered will be dependent on several factors that include but are not limited to relevant previous experience including duration and type of experience within the industry, education, and internal equity.
