• Base: $130K to $200K
• Stock: 0.3% to 1%

What You'll Be Working On

As a Founding Machine Learning Engineer, you'll work directly with the founders to design and develop foundational AI models for production. Your core responsibilities include:

• Researching latest papers, transforming them into products, and publishing on Ocular.
• Experimenting with and adapting the latest ML technologies to our tech stack.
• Deploying, training, and fine-tuning large language models and AI models.
• Developing infrastructure for training models, enabling users to fine-tune open-source models.
• Collaborating with founders and customers to shape product and engineering strategies.

This role involves high autonomy and ambiguity, suitable for someone excited by experimentation and innovation in an early-stage startup environment. You will report directly to the founders.

What We Are Looking For

• Passion for solving ML problems with strong algorithmic and applied machine learning skills.
• 3+ years experience with Python, PyTorch, OpenCV, TensorFlow.
• Hands-on experience training AI/LLM models for production.
• Willingness to work onsite in SF; ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment.
