The Platform AI AppDev UX design team is a small but impactful group that collaborates to solve complex developer experience challenges for our internal teams. As Salesforce leads the transformation in cloud computing and AI, we are seeking a Director/Sr. Director of UX to guide our organization into the next phase.

We lead Salesforce and our customers through major transformations in cloud and AI, delivering innovation that powers the world's most trusted AI CRM. Our solutions include AI-powered Copilots, enhancing productivity, automation, security, and scalability. Our strategy focuses on substrate maturity, convergence of architectures, and enabling new business opportunities, agility, and cost efficiencies.

Responsibilities

  • Mentor and manage a high-performing UX team, including managers
  • Recruit, hire, and onboard top UX talent
  • Cultivate an inclusive, diverse, and collaborative team environment
  • Communicate the Customer 360 experience vision to stakeholders
  • Promote a design-led, data-informed culture leveraging the best products and talent
  • Build partnerships across disciplines like Product, Engineering, and Marketing
  • Collaborate with product owners and research teams to craft customer-focused visions
  • Define product scope and roadmaps with product management and engineering
  • Ensure high-quality deliverables with Engineering and QA teams
  • Advocate for new interface guidelines and design patterns
  • Lead user-centered design processes considering personas, feedback, and metrics
  • Present designs to stakeholders and executives for review

Requirements

  • 10+ years designing and delivering products in cross-functional teams
  • 5+ years of direct management experience
  • A passion for managing and mentoring designers
  • 5+ years as a senior creative contributor
  • Degree in a design-related field or equivalent experience
  • A portfolio demonstrating user-centered design solutions
  • Experience designing enterprise software systems
  • Knowledge of design systems, web, and mobile experiences
  • Understanding of object models and multi-tenant architecture
  • Experience with design thinking methodologies from research to implementation
  • Proficiency with tools like Figma, Sketch, and InVision
