Position Summary

The Senior Genomics Sales Director oversees the health and performance of the assigned region. Responsibilities include developing and executing sales strategies, meeting sales goals, maintaining a regional business plan, analyzing market data, and managing CRM data. The role requires a deep understanding of Fulgent's services, market dynamics, and competitive landscape. You will act as a field advisor to your manager, owning your territory with entrepreneurial drive, and managing profit and loss for the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain regular contact with customers and prospects to facilitate product adoption and sales updates.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans, including market analysis and tactic adjustments based on analytics.
  • Achieve revenue targets through strategic planning.
  • Act as an advisor to your manager on market trends, business intelligence, and strategy execution.
  • Maintain technical and market expertise, educate stakeholders on Fulgent's offerings, and deliver technical presentations.
  • Utilize Salesforce CRM effectively for data management and reporting.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, prospects, and partners.
  • Contribute content for marketing materials and applications notes.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in life sciences preferred, with at least 5 years of successful clinical genomics sales experience in rare diseases.
  • Proven sales accomplishments, especially with Children's Hospitals and academic institutions.
  • Experience engaging with senior stakeholders and working in multicultural, dispersed teams.
  • Strong ownership, self-direction, and Salesforce skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.

Additional Details

Reports to: Regional Vice President

Environment: Field-based role with safety and physical demands outlined accordingly.
