Hill International is seeking a Jr. Engineer in Berkeley, CA. This is a full-time on-site role.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in engineering
2. Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
3. Creo Parametric experience
4. Accelerator or Beamline experience
5. Experience working in a National Lab environment is preferred
6. Strong written and verbal communication skills
7. FEA experience
8. Must be willing to work full time on-site in Berkeley, CA

The salary range for this position is $90,000-$120,000. The offered salary will be based on the applicants' qualifications, education, experience, and work location.

Responsibilities

1. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices.
2. Builds productive internal/external relationships.
3. Contributes to new concepts, projects, and upgrades.
4. Develops and refines test and operational procedures to meet physics and engineering needs.
5. Evaluates designs for performance and reliability.
6. Actively participates in design reviews to ensure project success.
7. Designs and develops accelerator components (e.g., RF systems, beam instrumentation, control systems).
8. Implements innovative solutions to meet operational needs and integrates complex systems.
9. Follows safety protocols and promotes a culture of safety awareness.
10. Assists in maintaining inventory of critical components and equipment for ongoing and future projects.
