Assistant Program Director – School-Based Programs
Location: Commodore Sloat (Elementary) School | Start Date: July 1, 2025
Salary: $55,000 – $65,000 | Full-Time
Start2Finish is seeking an energetic and mission-driven Assistant Program Director to help lead our innovative before-, during-, and after-school programs at Commodore Sloat School. This full-time, on-site leadership role requires availability from 7:15 AM to 6:15 PM, Monday through Friday, to provide consistent supervision, operational support, and staff leadership throughout the day.
You'll play a critical role in supervising staff, managing daily operations, ensuring licensing compliance, and fostering a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for K–5 students. Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills are essential.
Important Note: While the core program runs during the school year (mid-August through early June), this position is paid year-round. Breaks—including fall, winter, spring, and summer—are compensated, with the understanding that occasional administrative responsibilities will arise during these periods.
Key Responsibilities:
Support daily program operations and ensure a positive, engaging environment
Collaborate with school staff and families to support student success
Supervise, mentor, and train program staff
Develop and implement curriculum and activities
Maintain compliance with licensing and safety regulations
Qualifications:
12+ ECE units required; AA/BA in Child Development or related field
3+ years in school-based or after-school programs
1+ year in a leadership or supervisory role
CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
Strong understanding of child development and licensing guidelines
