Job Summary

Branson seeks a general maintenance staff member who, under the supervision of our Director of Campus Services, performs grounds and other maintenance needs, gardening work around campus and on school-owned property; drives students and employees in school vehicles; and performs related work as necessary and required. This person should embrace being part of a team and also listen and follow instructions from supervisors. Hourly rate range is $24.00-$30.00.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. General maintenance activities including trade-like jobs (moving items, light construction, etc.)
2. Operate power riding mowers, push mowers, blowers, edgers, and chain saws
3. Operate various saws, drills, and other power tools
4. Operate electric cart, dump truck, shuttles, and other school vehicles
5. Rake, edge, weed, plant, fertilize, and water lawns and landscaped areas
6. Service and make minor repairs to gardening and landscaping machinery, tools, and equipment
7. Drive students and employees in school vehicles
8. Use ladders when needed
9. Communicate clearly with supervisors
10. Lift and carry objects up to 100 lbs

Key Qualifications and Skills:

• Must have a current CA driver's license and a clear driving record.
• Ability to speak Spanish and English is a plus.
• Minimum of five years of maintenance experience preferred; trade skills are a plus. Willingness to pursue additional training paid for by Branson is encouraged.

• Ability to pass background checks, fingerprinting, and provide a recent negative TB test or screening
• Ability to perform all physical requirements of the position
