About The Role

As Rippling aims to scale to $1B in ARR, including international expansion and new products, investing in compliance controls is crucial. We seek a proactive Head of Americas Compliance to oversee our compliance program across product lines, including payments and financial services, partnering with Legal, Finance, Operations, Security, and Product teams to meet legal and regulatory standards such as AML, KYC, and money transmission laws. The ideal candidate is innovative, self-driven, and experienced in building scalable compliance strategies.

Responsibilities

  1. Lead compliance strategy and execution in the U.S. and Canada, including policy development and regulatory engagement.
  2. Manage regulatory reporting, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  3. Develop risk frameworks, identify compliance risks, and oversee mitigation strategies.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed compliance into business decisions.
  5. Streamline compliance workflows to support scale while maintaining controls.
  6. Educate and train employees and the board on compliance obligations.
  7. Advise senior management on compliance issues.
  8. Monitor and test business activities for compliance with regulations and internal policies.
  9. Build and mentor a high-performing compliance team.

Requirements

  1. 10+ years in compliance management, with 5+ years in leadership, preferably in fintech or SaaS.
  2. Hands-on approach with the ability to handle diverse initiatives and learn quickly.
  3. Strong knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks.
  4. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  5. Proficiency with compliance testing tools and software.
  6. Proven success in team leadership, process improvement, and achieving KPIs in a high-growth environment.
  7. Learning mindset, responsibility, and a people-first attitude.
  8. Sense of humor.
